One of their strongest assets is their versatility and the convenience they offer clients. They’re a full-service veterinary clinic that offers a variety of veterinary services to small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. 

They offer routine wellness exams, vaccinations, and preventive care, as well as dental care, surgery, and emergency services.

Disappointingly, we heard there are a few grumbles about Greenside Animal Hospital’s allegedly insincere pet handling. There are complaints from previous clients about some of their staff’s lack of compassion while attending to pet patients, which is discouraging.

We should also warn you that unlike in other veterinary clinics where they’re usually free, Greenside Animal Hospital places an additional fee for patients’ follow-up checkups, which is a bit of a bummer.

However, there are a few reports from previous clients noting the clinic’s difficulty in handling bigger dogs. Although they have enough space, the vets and staff seem to be more used to handling small pets.

One of the features that set Oaklands Veterinary Clinic apart is they provide alternative therapies, such as acupuncture and laser therapy in addition to traditional veterinary services. 

They also offer nutritional counselling and weight-loss programmes to keep pets healthy, which we think is a great value-added service.

Lastly, it’s a big plus for us that the clinic has modern facilities and cutting-edge technology, such as an in-house laboratory and digital radiography. 

This enables rapid and accurate diagnosis of a wide variety of medical conditions, which is convenient for clients. However, it’s worth noting that Oaklands Veterinary Clinic has expensive rates for its services.

Melville Veterinary Clinic is included in Johannesburg’s most sought-after animal clinics. They started the business over 40 years ago, and we’re impressed with its growth and achievement over the years.

Aside from its strong credibility, we also included this vet clinic on our list because they’re a full-service company. They provide preventative care, diagnostic services, surgical procedures, dental care, and emergency services.

They also offer micro-chipping services and have a food shop that’s well-stocked with a wide array of prescription and non-prescription foods.

The clinic is run by a team of highly qualified veterinarians who are seasoned experts in the field. We also appreciate how the doctors are assisted by highly-trained assistants and support staff.

We love that Melville Veterinary Clinic is dedicated to animal welfare and strives to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for pets and their owners.

The clinic provides a variety of resources to educate pet owners on proper pet care and nutrition, which is helpful, especially for first-timers. Clients also reach out to them for nutritional advice.

Some of their previous clients find their rate for services and treatments comparatively higher than other vet clinics, though.

Another thing that caught our attention was the grievances regarding the clinic’s receptionist. We’re told that the staff seems disinterested in assisting clients and‌ very unattentive towards their concerns, which is disappointing.

The clinic offers a wide range of services for dogs, cats, and other small animals, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, surgeries, and emergency care.

One of our favourite features of this clinic is its small but strong team of brilliant and experienced veterinarians and compassionate support staff. 

We appreciate how the clinic is sincere and dedicated to providing customised treatment plans that meet their pet’s specific needs. The doctors and staff work closely with pet owners, which previous clients highly commend.

Kenvalley Veterinary Clinic uses the latest medical technology and equipment to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in pets. The clinic is also spacious and clean, which are green flags for us.

Lastly, we love how they offer convenient appointment scheduling and emergency services, making the whole process easier for clients. 

There are, however, a bunch of grievances about delayed appointments, which can be annoying and worrisome, especially in urgent cases.

On top of that, we also have an issue regarding the quality of patient care this clinic provides. We’re told some of their previous clients complained about poor animal handling, which is a letdown.
