We’ve heard praises from past clients for how Leadhome Properties makes selling homes easier and cheaper. They’re popular for offering low, fixed fees for contracting them to sell your house.

They only charge R 24,995 + VAT to have them list your horse, and you don’t need to pay until someone buys it. That means they’ll appraise, include your house in their catalogue, and assign an agent for it for free (at first).

Other companies’ fees are almost more than half of what LeadHome Properties asks for, so this great deal especially for property sellers on a budget. 

Another one of Leadhome Properties’ noteworthy features is their online real estate platforms, which they claim to be the first modern platforms in real estate. Through this platform, clients found it easier to get an estimate for their homes or browse through active listings.

However, we did hear minor complaints about certain customer service representatives who were not as professional in their conduct.

Broll Property Group is one of the older appraisal companies in the area. The first thing we found noteworthy about them is they’re proactively hitting big milestones almost yearly, such as expanding the services they offer to the public.

They’ve been in the real estate business for almost 50 years. For Auctions and Sales particularly, they have 40 years of experience.

They currently provide several services that concern appraisals which are property management, auctions, valuations, and facility management. But on top of those, their list of services is evolving, which we think is a great strategy to be able to accommodate more clients. 

Their clients love that they offer all their property needs under one roof. In addition, Broll Property Group is commended for their organised and hands-on property management, from appraisal up to getting the house sold. 

The company’s real estate agents are supposedly trained to satisfy the needs of their clients but several reviews state that they had trouble contacting them despite trying different methods. 

We hope management addresses this issue as bad (or lack of) communication can severely erode a client’s sense of assurance. 

Lastly, we’re impressed they implement ISO-rated property and facilities management processes and procedures. This ensures that properties are carefully inspected individually before ratings are presented to their clients.

KW ClockWork Properties is one of the highly-rated real estate companies in Joburg. 

We like that they offer a wide selection of services. Apart from appraising, they also buy, sell, auction, and rent out properties that include homes and commercial establishments. 

Their appraisals have been commended by their past clients for their honesty and professionalism which makes the entire process stress-free. Also, agents at KW ClockWork Properties were described as qualified and knowledgeable, which is a big plus on credibility.

KW ClockWork Properties was established in 2004, and we’re mightily impressed by all the awards they received over the years. Currently, they’ve racked up almost 50 awards, which mostly honour the company’s growth and performance.

Despite venturing into several branches in real estate, it seems their catalogue is more limited than other companies with a total of only less than 4,000 listings. 

Still, past clients are satisfied with their new or newly-sold homes, and with KW ClockWork Properties’ assistance in general. In fact, many of them have expressed that they plan to use the company’s services again for their next real estate transaction.

However, we did hear some complaints about some of their agents being hard to reach or ignoring clients’ calls. Thankfully, this is more the exception than the norm – although, of course, we are in high hopes that management has already brought this up with the specific agents.

Byron Thomas Properties is one of the first well-known real estate companies in the area with over 70 years of experience in the field. Considered a top-selling company over the years, we think Byron Thomas Properties has indeed proven its competence.

They offer essential real estate services, particularly appraising houses and properties, buying and selling, and renting out residential and commercial spaces. 

Byron Thomas Properties received positive feedback for its generous and quick property appraisals. Moreover, clients describe their overall experience with the company’s real estate services as easy and smooth-sailing.

Byron Thomas Properties also has a small but impressive team of agents who are from different professional backgrounds and represent varying levels of expertise. 

Clients are generally satisfied with the agents assigned to them. Regardless of their years of experience, they apparently all go the extra mile, going above and beyond what’s expected of them.

It’s too bad that their listings aren’t as exhaustive as the other companies on this list. Currently, they only have 321 active listings for both residential and commercial properties for sale, and just 43 properties for rent.

Still, past clients are pleased with the homes and properties they bought through Byron Thomas Properties. Although smaller than others’, clients found their catalogue to include great-quality residential and commercial properties.

Allegiance Properties is one of the newly-founded companies that deal with appraisals and property management. Although they’ve been around for 14 years, they’re relatively younger than many other companies in the area and on this list.

Yet we think they’ve proven their expertise in the field of real estate trading based on track record and client feedback alone.

We learned that Allegiance Properties has teams that specialise in appraisals and property management, which is impressive.

Aside from property appraisals, Allegiance Properties also buy, sells, and rents out properties all over Johannesburg.

As for their client servicing, we think Allegiance Properties is doing a superb job. They are very responsible to feedback, right down to client complaints – which they very quickly address..

We think it’s great that they own up to their mistakes. If there’s anything we hope they would improve on though, it’s the quality of the properties they list and how management deals with them.

We’ve heard of some clients’ grievances about their living situation in the homes they bought or rented from the company. Apparently, they found the structures poorly built.

We hope that Allegiance Properties takes immediate steps to rectify these concerns, as they have heavy implications on quality of life.
