Irene Farm is a delightful working dairy farm offering a unique blend of education and outdoor fun for families. When I visited, I was amazed at how interactive and informative the experience was, perfect for children and their parents.

We started with a self-guided tour, using the visitor map to explore the farm and learn about dairy farming. We were fascinated by the cows in the maternity ward, where they are closely monitored during the last two months of their pregnancy.

We saw the cute baby calves in their pens, where they get the care and food they need to grow. Many kids love watching how the cows are herded, fed, and milked.

Willow Feather Farm in Centurion is a beautifully maintained farm that offers a charming experience with a low entrance fee!

The kids loved feeding the various animals, from alpacas to potbelly pigs, with the provided animal feed bags. The play areas, including a soft-play section for toddlers and a jumping castle for the older kids, kept everyone entertained for hours.

I enjoyed the tranquillity of the gardens and the nursery walkway, which felt like a serene forest escape. It’s a perfect venue for a picnic while the little ones explore and play.

Pro Tips:
Keep an eye on an animal’s eyes, fur, and ears for clues about how they feel. For instance, if a goat’s fur stands up or an animal flattens its ears, give it space to keep things calm and safe.
