Watergate has offered their plumbing services since 1981 and continues to do so today. That’s around 40 years of industry experience for these fellas and, as it should be apparent, experience does play a large role in the plumbing line of work.

Additionally, we know that all their plumbers are registered and licensed professionals. We think this only adds up to the credibility the company has built over the years.

While they do specialize in pipe relining & leak detection, they also provide other services like drain cleaning and overall pipe maintenance. 

Another service we found quite interesting is their CCTV pipe inspection, which is when they use camera technology to quickly and accurately pinpoint the “root” of the pipeline problem. This usually saves a lot of time and money since it’s just done so much faster.

A lot of their clients we interviewed gave a lot of positive feedback on their professionalism and quick-paced responsiveness. In one instance, a homeowner had called them in to address a water leak problem and they’ve managed to arrange the visit and the fix within 24 hours.

They claim to use the latest plumbing technology available in the market today. While we can’t really say for sure, their specialized services seem to support this as they could only efficiently provide it with good equipment.

Overall, we think their services are great, but we do find it unfortunate that clients have to pay a fee just to have plumbers do an in-home inspection. This is important to note as there are other plumbing services that offer a free plumbing diagnosis.

JHB North Plumbing is among the plumbing services in Vancouver that’s been operating for a while now—over 30 years, to be exact. Over the course of this period they’ve managed to garner a lot of positive feedback from various clients in their past projects.

Some of these past projects include pipe lining services at The Palm Continental Hotel, which is a 4-star hotel in Johannesburg. We think it’s another good indication of experience that they’ve worked with other companies like Amacon and Mettle too, even more so given they’ve even received letters of recommendations from them.

After speaking with a number of their clients, we found out about their reputation for being fast and diligent in their service. In many instances, from start to finish, a client’s longest wait was for the invoice.

What we liked best about JHB is that they happen to offer free quotations. Since quotations in the plumbing industry generally require plumbers to do an on-site visit to get a diagnosis, this means you can get a professional plumber to check the status of your home for free.

While they are quite a responsive company of plumbers, we did hear some issues with the quality of work in some of the jobs they handled. There’s one instance where they installed a particular valve for a client but at the cost of some slight wrecking in the areas around it.

The plumbers did have their chances to alleviate the damage but, whether due to negligence or just unawareness, they did not. We do know, though, that the amount of positive outcomes of their work definitely outweigh the substandard.

Wayne Osrin Plumbing is a registered plumber in the Plumbing Industry Board.  It utilizes state-of-the-art German technology to implement accurate and effective plumbing services.  

Wayne Osrin Plumbing currently has six highly skilled and very loyal employees who have worked with the company for a decade.  They are trained to provide you with the highest standards of customer care and service.

In the 38 years that Wayne Osrin Plumbing has been operating, they have been providing accurate and effective plumbing services to the citizens of Greater Johannesburg. How do we know this? Well, we asked them ourselves, of course.

Most of the former clients we interviewed had a lot to say with regards to their professionalism and customer care. In most instances, when their plumbers find a problem, they send pictures of it and even explain in layman’s terms for the client to easily understand. 

Speaking of their plumbers, the company is actually headed by Wayne Osrin himself, along with a team of only six highly skilled long-standing employees. 

You’d think that they’d have a hard time managing calls from their clients, but we haven’t received any word of complaint from anyone just yet.

By the way, all six of these plumbers are licensed and registered. These come with benefits that unlicensed plumbers can’t compare to including being able to issue a CoC or Certificate of Compliance. 

CoCs protect clients from poor or bad workmanship and the use of low quality or incorrect products and supplies. This means if you’re ever unsatisfied with any of their services, you can simply give them a call and they would look into it in compliance with the CoC.

Whitelaw Plumbing and Gas is one of the few family-owned plumbing businesses in Johannesburg. They’ve been building up their skills and reputation ever since 1964 and continue to do so today.

We think with age comes a lot of professionalism and these fellas definitely carry that wherever they go, at least according to the interviews we made. Clients we spoke to express how they always seem to get the job done, with a lot commending their professional service.

Also, as you may have already guessed from their name, they also happen to provide gas services aside from plumbing. We found this pretty unique as not a lot of plumbing services we’ve met offered this type of assistance.  

Some of their services include setting up a gas central heating system in your homes. We think it’s especially good that they have specialists on-hand that can effectively install these systems.

They also issue Certificates of Conformity upon request of the buyer. These basically provide proof that the products installed meet the required standard—adding to its credibility.

However, while their services are broad and great, there is no indication that they offer free quotations. So if you ever planned on getting your home diagnosed by one of their plumbers for free, that wouldn’t be the case here.

Our experience with Bright Service Plumbing has left us thoroughly impressed and assured of their expertise in the plumbing domain.

Though quite young compared to the other plumbers in this list, Classen Plumbers have been servicing the areas of Johannesburg for a good while now—well over 20 years.

While they are a much younger company, they actually offer a few more solutions including electrical and fire services. We like how it is definitely possible to integrate a firefighting system along with their plumbing services—effectively hitting two birds with one stone.

We like how they provide 24/7 assistance to all queries related to their electrical solutions, whether about their security lighting installations or the general electrical repair.

Additionally, all electrical services they offer also come with certificates of compliance to indicate that the products are of regular standard. They give these for plumbing too, by the way!

One other service we’d like to mention is that they offer professional pool service plans, which include a flexible schedule of weekly pool cleaning times. This can range from maintaining your pool using cleaners, filters, pumps to repairs.
