Aside from having a credible name in the field, another thing we like about PETport is we’re sure that their staff are skilled and highly-trained. All mangers are also certification holders in accordance with the Live Animals Regulation (LAR).

PETport offers several types of services namely pet transport, immigration, and collection and delivery. They also have boarding facilities for pets, which is a nice perk.

For travel and relocation, we like that PETport is experienced in both local and international travel. Their staff are updated with the latest guidelines and requirements, making the entire process faster, which customers really appreciate.

Another thing we love about PETport is its top-notch facilities. One thing customers appreciate is PETport’s first-class animal travel crates. 

We love that the crates are clean and comfortable. They also offer both wooden and plastic crates, which you can customise to fit your pet’s size.

For international travel, PETport also provides a non-carcinogenic pet travel bed, which is awesome. 

It’s also a big plus for us that they have a registered veterinarian onsite and they have a 24/7 emergency call centre. There are a handful of complaints about poor customer service, though.

We’re told some of the previous customers had difficulty in reaching out to the shop’s representatives. Some worried furparents were also disappointed in the lack of updates received from the handlers.

In addition, some previous customers found PETport’s prices a little higher than other pet relocation service providers. 

We’re also dismayed to hear that there are also reports from disappointed customers that the shop charges additional costs on top of the “base price”, which they aren’t informed of upfront.

Global Paws is one of the most- and highest-rated pet relocation service providers in Johannesburg and Cape Town. They are also one of the forerunners in the industry, with over 30 years of experience. 

It’s a plus for us that their services are vouched for by the International Pet and Animal Association (IPATA) as well as the International Air Transport Association (IATA). We also included them on our list for their solid track record.

Ever since they were established, Global Paws has assisted in the travels of over 52,000 pets. It’s also a plus for us that they cater to both international and local travel.

Aside from handling domestic and international pet transport both by land and air, Global Paws also assists in travel preparation including veterinary visits, pet kenneling, country requirements, and pet protection and travel comfort plans.

Previous customers found their application processes convenient and prompt, which we commend. 

Another feature we love about Global Paws is they’re well-staffed with skilled and qualified animal handlers. Your pets’ safety is our top priority, which is why we make sure that the shop’s staff are experienced handlers.

Nonetheless, we are a tad disappointed to hear that the quality of their customer service is inconsistent. 

Some of the previous pet owners told us that at first, Global Paws’ representatives were very hands-on, which the customers loved. However, further along the line, once everything is paid and set, responses became very slow.

In addition, there are also multiple complaints from previous customers regarding the shop’s pricing for their services. We’re told Global Paws charges thousands even just for domestic pet travel, which we find appalling.

Talbot Pets International is a pet relocation service provider that’s recently gaining popularity. 

They provide end-to-end services covering pet domestic travel and international travel to Brazil, Canada, Germany, Ghana, Israel, Mauritius, Namibia, Netherlands, Nigeria, and Panama. 

We love that they’re a one-stop shop for everything owners need to prepare for pet travel.

Aside from local and international pet travel and relocation assistance, Talbot Pets also accommodates pet immigration, passports, clearance preparation, veterinary checkups, and pet kenneling and boarding. 

Talbot Pets also makes custom-made crates and carriers for pets, which is awesome. We also appreciate how the packages they offer are also tailored to each customer’s needs.

Our favourite feature about this shop is the staff’s dedication to providing top-notch services. Pet owners highly appreciate how the handlers are very active in giving updates about their pets.

Another reason why customers prefer Talbot Pets’ services is that their people are very efficient. This shop is highly-commended for having shorter lead times and meticulous planning.

However, it’s also worth mentioning how potential customers have a hard time reaching out to the shop’s representatives for inquiries and quote requests, which isn’t ideal. 

Of course, we wouldn’t miss including Keringa Petwings on our list. When it comes to pet care, transportation and relocation, they’re one of the most established big players. 

Keringa Petwings boasts nearly 50 years of experience in the industry. They’re also a long-standing member of the International Pet and Animal Association (IPATA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Aside from their impressive background, another feature we love about this shop is its solid track record of thousands of satisfied customers. 

The shop offers a broad range of services covering domestic and international pet transport, pet boarding, and pet care. We also found it a nice perk that they have their own pet shop that supplies a broad range of high-quality pet products.

Keringa Petwings is well-staffed with 40 professionals, 10 of which are highly-trained and experienced animal handlers. They also have on-site animal technicians and an on-call veterinarian, who is available 24/7.

As for their service packages, Keringa Petwings aims to provide customisable packages for different budgets. However, some of their previous customers found their rates higher than competitors. 

Also, take note that although they accommodate customers from all over Gauteng, they are located in Kempton Park, which is a 30-minute drive from Johannesburg.

Aeropets Worldwide CC is another leading pet relocation and transport specialist based in Randburg. They’re a well-established company supported by a strong team of trained and seasoned pet handlers.

The business was established over 21 years ago and since then, Aeropets Worldwide CC has taken care of thousands of pet travellers. They’re also accredited by the International Pet and Animal Association (IPATA) and have been a member since 2003.

Aeropets Worldwide CC is also partnered with Paws Resort kennelling, which offers pet boarding services. They also have a pet travel clinic and onsite veterinarians.

Take into consideration, though, that they specialise in handling international pet travels worldwide. If you’re planning a domestic trip, you might have to find another pet travel service provider.

One feature we love about Aeropets Worldwide CC is their fast, hassle-free processes. Previous customers value how convenient it is to request a fast quote, which can be done through their website.

Aeropets Worldwide CC’s pricing is also very transparent, and customers are informed upfront of the amount they need to prepare, which we commend.

Nonetheless, there are a handful of complaints about Aeropets Worldwide CC’s allegedly careless handling of documents. 

Apparently, there was an instance where the shop’s staff missed some paperwork for the pet, which would’ve led to delays or even a trip cancellation.

Thankfully, the other staff spotted the mistake and it was taken care of immediately.

Kenelm Pet Travel Service is a kennel that’s been registered since 1988. They’re located on a 10 acre property in Walkerville, Johannesburg, South Africa.

They’re efficient, dependable and cost effective.

We also like how they offer a home from home boarding facility to partner with before travelling so that there’s less pressure before the departure.
