Installation is clearly their strong suit. With 25 years of industry experience, GGS provides customised frameless glass doors that can be configured to open in any direction. Each system comes with a two-year guarantee, showing their confidence in their products.

Safety is also a key focus for GGS. Their structurally certified systems use toughened glass that minimises injury risks, even in rare breakage situations.

The two-year warranty might also be too brief for a premium glass product. This may leave some clients wanting more extended coverage.

Active Glass & Aluminium is a top-notch glass and aluminium company that’s been killing the game since 1983. What started as a small local business has now become a major player in Gauteng and beyond.

These guys are experts at making and installing all kinds of windows—from sliding to casement to bay windows. They replaced my old windows with double-glazed ones flawlessly!

They adhere to high safety standards, too. Never did I see their work area in a jumble, and they left my home perfectly clean when the work was finished. 

Another thing that makes them stand out is their use of top-quality and stylish glass and aluminium doors and windows. 

They provided me with photos of both their stocks and actual finished work with the sleek, contemporary look I was looking for. Close-up photos of some finished work also showed how durable these aluminium works were, as they’ve lasted for 8 years or more.

Moreover, they are excellent in maximising natural sunlight and wind movement when constructing their PTT or top-hung aluminium and side-hung aluminium windows.

However, some customers have complained about the team being late. Communication also seems to be a bit of a mess, especially when dealing with new clients.

However, the company isn’t perfect. One customer complained about substandard work, poor supervision, and a leak that caused damage to computers. This suggests that while most experiences are positive, there might be occasional quality control issues.
