The clinic offers a bunch of different fertility treatments, like in-vitro fertilisation, intra-uterine insemination, and other important services such as sperm/egg donation and surrogacy.
I heard about Vitalabs from my friend when she was trying to start a family with her wife. Thankfully, Vitalabs offers LGBT+ friendly consultations and fertility treatments, and through their team’s expertise, they were able to find a willing donor and successfully perform polyp removal surgery and in-vitro fertilisation.
That being said, Vitalabs’ customer service leaves a lot to be desired, particularly with the rudeness and dismissiveness of their staff.
Incredible doctors helping you feel safe and comfortable
We are still in the very beginning of our journey but so far have been treated with so much kindness and respect. I did my HSG scan today and was SO nervous, having read some horror stories online. Yolande and Dr Guidozzi were absolutely incredible, made me feel so safe and comfortable, explained everything to me and the procedure was literally painless! What incredible women. Thank you!

What drew me to Bioart Fertility Clinic was their offer of a “unique experience” when it comes to fertility treatment.
The SASREG-accredited clinic offers a wide selection of treatments for its patients, from the standard in-vitro fertilisation and sperm/egg donation to more niche and unique treatments such as laser-assisted hatching, micro-tubal surgery, and surgical sperm retrieval.
When my husband and I visited their clinic for a consultation, we were impressed by their thoroughness and expertise, willing to consider and explain even the most niche treatments for us.
After a number of thorough consultations, we were recommended to undergo in-vitro fertilisation with intracytoplasmic sperm injection, and after a few treatments, we were able to conceive our first child.
I will say, however, that their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. In particular, while their doctors are brimming with expertise, their receptionists and staff can be quite rude and dismissive.
Furthermore, I had a friend who donated her eggs to the clinic, and she reported a lack of transparency and communication. The staff wasn’t clear about the instructions for the procedure.

“I booked online on a Saturday and they called me on the Monday to confirm my appointment… That was the beginning of a dream come true. Going at it alone is already challenging enough, I’m so glad I didn’t have to deal with judgment on top of that. They were super friendly I felt at home. Although the doctors seem always in a rush (don’t get me wrong they know what they are doing)… The nurses are there to clarify any confusions via email, phone call or in person. Even the security guard literally runs to assist. Just a warning, don’t drink too much water, a bit of patience is required if you’re a super punctual person, but trust the process. After only one round of IVF I’m now a proud mother of a beautiful baby boy, I couldn’t be happier, thank you so much Bioart team.”

True to its name, Neo Fertility Clinic is a relatively new clinic established with the goal of focusing on not just fertility treatments, but women’s health as a whole.
Led by Dr. Mmaselemo Tsuari, a gynaecologist, fertility treatment specialist, and endoscopic surgeon with a master’s degree, two decades of experience, and a published book on innovative fertility treatments, the clinic handles its treatments with expertise and passion.
I accompanied a cousin of mine to Neo Fertility for a consultation regarding polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and Dr. Tsuari’s compassion and knowledge on the subject led to a treatment plan that helped lessen her symptoms and cleared her infertility.
We were also impressed by the kindness of their staff, as well as the different payment options available at the clinic.
However, it must be noted that the clinic, perhaps due to the fact that it’s just been established, has no accreditations with other reproductive health organisations yet.
Its success rates aren’t publicly available either, so even with the testimonials of success, there’s no guarantee that the clinic will have the best fertility treatment for you.

Joburg Fertility Center is a clinic that focuses on a comprehensive set of fertility treatments to cover most of the common issues that couples face.
With an average success rate of 60%, their treatments include, but aren’t limited to, the standard in-vitro fertilisation, intra-uterine insemination, and even ovarian surgeries for patients with dire conditions.
The clinic is led by Dr. Jabulani Moloi, a fertility and endoscopic surgery specialist with 15 years of experience around the world.
When my aunt visited the clinic for a consultation, she was impressed by his patience, tenacity, and know-how in his field. He recommended in-vitro fertilisation for her, a process which led me to have my first baby cousin in years.
However, my aunt noted some concerning things about the clinic, one of which is its outdated equipment.
She also told me about an egg donor she met who had not been provided with any assistance or care after the procedure and was not compensated fairly.

The Hope Fertility and Endoscopy Clinic specialises in affordable, evidence-based fertility treatment through their step-by-step consultation and treatment programs.
A SASREG-accredited facility with a 61% success rate across all age groups, Hope Fertility has worked wonders in helping my friend and countless other patients in conceiving their children and starting their families.
A friend of mine went to the clinic in the hopes that she could figure out how to finally start her family with her husband, and, thankfully, the clinic was able to diagnose her husband’s infertility through their semen analysis and decontamination treatments.
This, alongside the doctor’s patience and empathy with their frustrations as well as further treatments such as laser-assisted hatching, has helped my friend start her family and raise her beautiful baby girl.
A complaint she had, however, was with their appointment schedule; their receptionists would not answer the phone. Once they finally did make the appointment, they were treated coldly.
