One of the things we like about this shop is they’re well staffed and there’s always someone available to attend to interested customers. 

Many of their previous buyers appreciate how the salesmen and technicians were friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to ensure that customers were completely satisfied with their experience.

Another feature that impressed us is the overall quality of their space. The facilities are clean, modern and well-equipped, making the whole experience very smooth and hassle-free for customers.

Hi-Q Booysens is also highly-preferred for their broad selection of tire products. 

We love that aside from being distributors of multiple well-known tire brands, their products are also categorised by type: passenger tires, 4×4 and SUV tires, and taxi and commercial tires.

It’s also a plus for us that Hi-Q Booysens regularly give discounts for selected products.

Nonetheless, we received reports that there are inconsistencies in the tires’ prices. We’re told the rates for their products change almost daily, which can be very confusing for buyers.

Lastly, there are multiple complaints about the behaviour of Hi-Q Booysens’s manager. Many of the shop’s previous customers found the manager very rude and unhelpful, and stated that it’s difficult to communicate with them, which is disheartening.

Next on our list is Mintys Tyres, a go-to choice for anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy tire solutions in South Africa. They’re a well-established business with multiple branches all over the country.

They have a wide network of tire fitment centres, which means it’s convenient for customers to get serviced in the nearest centre. This is also great news when it comes to product stocks and exchanges.

Mintys Tyres is partnered with major tire brands such as Bridgestone, Continental, and Goodyear, and offers an extensive selection of tires in different types and sizes. We also appreciate how they always have items in stock, no matter how popular they are.

Another reason why many prefer this tire shop is their competitive pricing for their products as well as the other services they offer, such as wheel balancing, alignment, repairs, and rotation.

It’s also a plus for us how Mintys Tyres is fully staffed with approachable and skilled technicians. Some of the shop’s recent customers also compliment the sales team for being friendly and accommodating.

There are a few complaints about the shop’s representatives, though. We’re told it can be difficult reaching out to them, which isn’t ideal, especially if they want to attract more customers.

On top of that, there are also grievances about the tire shop’s inconsistent quality of staff members. We’re disappointed to hear that there are reports where the customer experienced dealing with staff who were unreliable and rude.

Tyres & More is well-networked and has multiple branches nationwide. In Johannesburg alone, there are already four stores.

We love how they’re a one-stop shop for all tire needs. Aside from tire supplies, Tyres & More also offers wheels, shocks and breaks, and battery sales, repairs, and maintenance.

They also provide a free vehicle safety check to their customers, which is awesome.

It’s also a plus for us that they have cheaper but more durable alternatives from other less-known but reliable brands, including Black Rhino and ATLASBX .

Take note, though, that a few of their products are often out of stock, especially the popular ones. 

We also have issues with Tyres & More’s reported inconsistent pricing. A few of their recent customers shared with us their dissatisfaction after their agreed verbal deals were not honoured by the shop after the service has already been provided.
