The Trailer Boys currently has seven branches all over South Africa. We’re also impressed to find that the Trailer Boys is a SABS Registered Trailer Manufacturer. 

Aside from rentals, the Trailer Boys also offers trailer servicing and repairs. They also sell various kinds of trailer spare parts, including hitches. Admittedly, though, the Trailer Boys has limited options compared to other suppliers.

One thing we love about this shop is its people. The Trailer Boys has a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, with a team of knowledgeable and friendly staff who are very eager to assist customers with their concerns.

Nonetheless, we’ve heard a few complaints about the untoward behaviour of some of the shop’s staff. We’re told some customers experienced racist discrimination from some of The Trailer Boys’ technicians, which for us is unacceptable. 

On top of that, we’re disappointed to hear that some staff apparently seem to be disininterested in attending to customers. 

We hope management can take care of these issues and properly train their personnel to provide better customer service.

Next on our list is Fueltrailers Trailers and Tankers, one of the most popular suppliers of tankers and trailers in South Africa. 

The company provides a comprehensive selection of fuel trailers and tankers that are built strictly following safety requirements. They also sell a variety of tools, including hitches.

We love that the company is as strict in the quality of trailer parts as they are in trailers and tankers that they manufacture. It’s also a plus for us that the shop offers hitch options depending on weight capacity.

Fueltrailers Trailers and Tanker has a solid reputation for providing high-quality equipment at competitive prices, making it a popular choice for businesses and individuals all over South Africa. 

This company has a wealth of experience of 15 years and is a continuously growing business with already two shops open in Johannesburg. 

We love that they have highly-trained technicians and engineers in-house. Customers also commend Fueltrailers Trailers and Tanker’s team for being meticulous and quick to install the hitches that they purchased.

Because Fueltrailers Trailers and Tankers’ products are in demand, some of their part stocks, including hitches, may be limited. We suggest calling in advance to check for a product’s availability.

In line with this, we also have minor concerns about Trailers and Tankers’ customer service. There are some complaints stating that it can be difficult communicating and reaching an understanding with some of the shop’s representatives, which is a dismay.

They’re one of the forerunners in the trailer and parts supply business and have been in business since 1989. Trail Quip Cc has a strong reputation for delivering consistently high-quality service and products, which is one of the reasons why we chose them.

Trail Quip Cc has a mighty inventory of components and accessories used for trailers and trucks. What makes them special, though, is their unique stocks of rare or discontinued parts.

They’re also very eager to help customers locate and buy requested accessories, which is awesome. This means that if they don’t have the hitch you want on hand, their team can help you acquire it.

We’d like it better if they can keep their online product catalogue up to date, though. We noticed some missing items and outdated information on their online inventory, which isn’t ideal as it can cause confusion or misunderstanding for customers.

QSV is also a recognised distributor of multiple renowned labels like Shell, Goetze, Kolbenschmidt, Glyco, and Safeline. The shop is dedicated to providing top-notch products and they’re confident of that.

In fact, all items purchased from their shop come with an in-house 12-month warranty, which is awesome. Unfortunately, we’re disappointed to tell you that we’ve heard some grumbles about the inconveniences of processing warranty claims with them.

On top of that, there are also multiple complaints about the poor attitudes of some of QSV’s personnel. A number of their previous customers report that some of the shop’s salesmen are cold and unhelpful when asked questions, which isn’t ideal.
