In terms of its sprinkler repair services, we appreciate that technicians assess the layout of clients’ irrigation systems before proposing any necessary remedies.

We also love that clients can have their sprinklers relocated if their existing system doesn’t have efficient water flow along with their repairs.

Technicians also offer maintenance work so clients can have lush lawns and functional sprinklers all year round. 

Another of the company’s strong points is that its repair professionals are competent and punctual with their work.

Clients highlight their quick turnaround time and how keen the technicians are with identifying sprinkler problems and addressing them with suitable repairs.

That said, we’re just a little disappointed to hear about the professionals’ lack of cleanliness and consideration for clients’ properties.

Yes, clients love that their sprinklers are back in action, but they complained about their plants getting stepped on. 

But we’re somehow forgiving this as the company apologised for its technicians’ errors.

It’s also a plus that clients are open to sending their feedback and concerns via Monsoon Irrigation’s contact channels.

While we like the company’s responsiveness and efficient end-to-end process, we hope it does the same regarding fees. 

We’ve heard from clients that they were charged extra fees that weren’t discussed during the quotation period. We think that being transparent with fees contributes to giving value to clients’ money.

Solex Irrigation is another company that extends its services to the residential sector even if its prime clients are from the commercial and industrial divisions.

In fact, its homeowner clients praise the company for providing the same competence and professionalism it does for commercial projects.

We’re also pleased to learn that clients received sprinkler repair services that give good value for their money and make their irrigation systems look like they’ve been newly installed.

Another favourable point of Solex Irrigation is that its technicians are knowledgeable and skilled in repairing different kinds of sprinkler heads and components.

They’re also reportedly punctual with their given work schedules. We have to give it to them for committing to their time frames and providing quick turnaround times for their clients.

We also love that Solex offers annual maintenance services, which we think are convenient for clients to have their sprinkler system inspected for leaks, debris buildup, and other potential damage.

A slight downside though is that, as of writing, quotes can only be availed of via email or call. That said, it’s nothing but a slight inconvenience.

It’s also a plus that Solex Irrigation extends its services to areas within Johannesburg’s metropolitan area. 

So, even if it’s headquartered in Pretoria, we appreciate it accommodates clients from other locations.

A concern we just have regarding the company servicing many areas is that it may cause inconvenience for clients to book services, especially during the company’s peak season.

With over 60 years of professional experience, Mainline Irrigation has completed projects for the Rand Stadium, Hyde Park Shopping Centre, and the University of Johannesburg.

From what we’ve heard, the company also continues to supply replacement parts and do sprinkler repairs for these establishments and other businesses within the city.

While most of its clients are large industries, we appreciate Mainline Irrigation for also extending its services to homeowners.

In terms of its workmanship, we love that the company’s technicians offer design services. 

We’re told that they provide comprehensive plans of sprinkler systems that will work for private gardens, golf courses, greenhouses, and commercial irrigations.

The company also has an on-site workshop where it conducts most of the sprinkler repairs. We think this allows technicians to use high-end tools to produce superb repair work for their projects.

Clients also don’t need to book appointments as they can walk in to visit the workshop and meet the technicians.

On the downside, the company’s repairs are currently limited to sprinkler pumps. We find this inconvenient, as clients will need to enlist the help of other professionals if they found damages that aren’t on the pumps. 

We’re also told that Mainline Irrigation’s location is a little hard to find despite being in the Sandton area.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for sprinkler components without having to visit the company’s site, we recommend shopping at its online store.

The Irrigation Shop takes pride in being “the best in irrigation” due to its experience in installing sprinkler systems for homes, schools, commercial gardens, and guest accommodations.

It also does repairs for different sprinkler models and makes, so it’s no wonder that clients rely on this company’s expertise to have their irrigation setups working like magic again.

What sets The Irrigation Shop apart from others is that it’s confident and competent enough to repair both manually-operated and computerised sprinkler systems.

Other contractors in Johannesburg only focus on manual sprinklers and are yet to open their services to smart irrigation setups.

We also have to give it to this company for using components from noteworthy suppliers such as Aqua Angel, Hunter, Rain Bird, and Orbit.

And if you’re after bespoke parts, we’re happy to report that this sprinkler contractor does fitting services for pipes, nylon and galvanised parts, and sprinkler heads.

Admittedly, we think that some of The Irrigation Shop’s workers need to fine-tune their skills. 

We’ve heard that some of the repairs wore off only after a few months–clients also had to invalidate the warranty of their sprinkler parts as they needed to be taken apart to be fixed.

It was also disappointing to hear that the company doesn’t replace pumps that are five months old. 

We hope they’ll fine-tune their workmanship to prevent sprinkler systems from breaking down in just a short time after the repairs were done.

Another area we want The Irrigation Shop to improve on is responding to clients as promptly as possible. We’ve heard complaints about them not returning calls at the time they promised and replying to emails several months to a year after.

Vertgrow Landscaping has built a reputation for doing all sorts of landscaping work for residential and commercial properties.

In terms of sprinkler systems, we’re pleased to find that this company does repairs and maintenance for garden irrigation systems and other water features.

We also love Vertgrow for providing comprehensive plans for landscape redesigning. 

Other than garden beautification, this service is ideal for building a sustainable sprinkler system–we love that clients can maintain lush gardens while also preserving clean water sources.

As for the repair quality, we’re told that Vertgrow’s staff are keen on every step of the project and ensures superior quality for every part of the work they do.

We also have to give it to them for being punctual with providing quotes, replying to clients as promised, and with their turnaround time.

Clients also highlight that the company communicates with them as soon as possible should there be any hurdles or delays with the project.

That said, we think it’s worth mentioning that while Vertgrow does landscaping for commercial establishments, it currently doesn’t do repairs for commercial irrigation systems.

It’s also a plus that this company services several areas within Johannesburg, although that may pose an inconvenience for some clients to book services.

Given that Vertgrow has a loyal clientele of business owners, availing of sprinkler repairs may be tricky.
